Engaging the next generation in the climate crisis requires more than just textbook learning; it demands creativity, interaction, and empowerment. This was the driving force behind our 2025 Climate Edutainment (ClimEd) Competition, an innovative initiative held at Primark International Academy in Abuja to inspire real-world solutions to environmental challenges.
The initiative blended education with entertainment, engaging students through hands-on workshops, poetry, music, art, and our interactive Play, Learn, and Act Now (PLAN) climate action game. This approach made climate learning fun and tangible, empowering teenagers to express their voices and develop their own innovative ideas. YouPaD, in partnership with Green Protocol, awarded a total of ₦300,000 in cash prizes to outstanding student groups for their projects promoting sustainability.
“Together, we’re nurturing a generation of young climate champions who will lead Nigeria toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.”
By establishing Climate Edutainment Clubs in schools, we are working to keep the momentum alive and ensure that countless more students will carry forward the spark of climate advocacy. The future is bright, and it’s green!
