Digital innovation is a powerful catalyst for good governance and youth empowerment. With this focus, our team made an introductory visit to the Director General of the ICT Directorate in Sokoto to explore potential areas of collaboration and partnership. This meeting was a crucial first step in bridging the gap between policy advocacy and technological implementation in the region.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce YouPaD’s mission and discuss how we could work together on initiatives related to capacity building and people development. We explored how leveraging civic technology can enhance transparency, improve public service delivery, and create meaningful pathways for youth participation in governance. The discussions were fruitful, laying the groundwork for future impactful projects.

“By aligning our policy goals with technological innovation, we can create scalable solutions that empower a new generation of digitally-savvy civic leaders in Northern Nigeria.”
This initial engagement reflects our commitment to building strategic alliances across all sectors and regions of Nigeria. We believe that by combining our expertise in policy with the technical capabilities of partners like the Sokoto ICT Directorate, we can accelerate progress and build a more inclusive digital future.
