YouPaD Partners with UNDP to Scale Grassroots Climate Solutions

Achieving global climate goals requires empowering local action. This principle was at the heart of the recent OP7 Inception Workshop, where YouPaD was proud to join a cohort of dedicated changemakers in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP). The workshop was designed to build a strategic framework for scaling effective, community-led solutions for climate action and biodiversity.

Our participation underscores a core belief: true sustainability is built from the ground up. The workshop provided a critical platform for collaboration, allowing us to share insights from our grassroots projects and learn from other organizations working on the frontlines of environmental protection in Nigeria. The focus was on identifying high-impact local innovations and creating pathways to secure the support and visibility they need to create widespread, lasting change.

“Local action. Global impact. Together, we’re scaling grassroots solutions for climate action, biodiversity, and sustainable development.”

By collaborating with key global partners like the UNDP, YouPaD is helping to bridge the gap between international development frameworks and the realities of local communities. This strategic alignment is crucial for ensuring that funding and policy support are channeled effectively to where they can make the most difference.
